Christmas Traditions from the Heart Vol. 1

This book shares the warmth, family spirit, and traditions of Christmas in projects, reminiscences, and recipes. It presents a broad variety of works by 13 artists - projects for the novice and the advanced craftsperson, and for the quiltmaker, embroiderer, dollmaker, dressmaker, and the general crafter in fabric or paper. There are tree decorations, heirloom gifts, and seven quilts ranging from pieced wallhangings to complex applique and whole cloth pictures. The four doll projects include a Santa, a large stand-up Father Christmas, and a romantic doll inspired by Les Miserables. The designers also share family holiday traditions and recipes - potpourri, soup, salads, vegetables and tantalizing cakes. Materials lists, assembly instructions and drawings are provided for each project.
